Accessibility

What we did, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something blocks you.

What we aim for

We build this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, level AA. That is the yardstick the European Accessibility Act uses.

What that means here

Concretely, on every page:

  • Every page works without JavaScript. Menus, the FAQ and the product filters are plain HTML.
  • Animation is limited to movement and fading, and a browser set to “reduce motion” switches it off entirely.
  • Text contrast is checked against the 4.5:1 requirement.
  • Every image carries a text alternative; decorative images are marked as decorative.
  • The page can be operated by keyboard alone, and the focus is always visible.
  • Text scales with the browser setting because sizes are relative, not fixed pixels.

Known limitations

The map in the dealer finder is a visual aid. Everything it shows is also in the dealer list below it, which is a plain list with addresses. The map is not the only way to the information.

Documents linked as PDF (datasheets, catalogues, manuals), are not fully tagged for screen readers. The same figures are on the product pages as text.
