Five that come up before every quotation.
Which model do I need for my load?
Start with what goes in the chamber. Waste, culture media and unwrapped instruments are covered by every model. Wrapped instruments, hollow bodies to EN 13060, porous materials and textiles need fractionated vacuum. That is the VacPro line. The release matrix on each product page states exactly what a model is approved for.
Why are there no prices on this site?
CertoClav sells through specialist dealers, who quote for your country, configuration and service agreement. A list price without the accessories, installation and validation you actually need would be misleading. Tell us your requirement and we will connect you with the partner nearest to you.
Can I buy directly from CertoClav?
No, and that is deliberate. Laboratory autoclaves reach you through a network of 210 specialist dealers in 38 countries, who handle quotation, installation, validation, the annual inspection and repairs locally. You can still write to us about anything: we answer ourselves and pass the enquiry to the partner covering your region. Where no partner covers it yet, we handle it directly.
Do I have to have my autoclave validated?
It depends on your quality system, not on the device. GLP and GMP environments, accredited laboratories and pharmaceutical production normally require documented qualification. We carry out factory validation of the sterilisation cycle with a certified data logger, and IQ/OQ qualification for the VacPro series.
How do I sterilise culture media without boiling over?
With a flexible media probe that measures inside the vessel rather than in the chamber wall, and a controlled exhaust ramp. A liquid load lags behind the chamber by minutes; a cycle timed on chamber temperature ends too early, and a fast exhaust makes the batch boil over.
